At Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands, we see the potential in every student and are committed to helping them see it too. Our model of integrated student supports is not about doing the work for students. It’s about making sure all students have access to the community resources and tools they need to unlock their potential and thrive.
At Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands, we know that learning is affected by students’ own unique combinations of motivation, skills, needs, and life and learning situations, as well as by the supports they receive from their community, and school. Working inside the school building, we meet students where they are and provide the support they need when they need it, where they need it.
Over the past decade, Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands has helped students overcome and remove barriers to their success. Implementing best practice strategies, we have improved students’ engagement in the educational process, keeping them on track and on the path to graduation.
